For those looking for a new indie rock sound, the enquiries are a great bet. Based out of the UK, Frank, Nori, and Reuben have gained a name in the London rock scene with their garage band sound. The band plays in underground scenes all around the London area, entertaining crowds and becoming finalists in a Battle of the Bands. The band has been releasing music for a couple of years now, cementing their indie punk sound. The enquiries are certainly a band to keep an eye on.
While Japanese city pop may have been most popular in the 80’s, moë is proof that the genre is still thriving. Moe Wakabayashi is more than just a musician, but an expert composer, producer, and film director. moë is set to release her second album, New Century Democracy, later this year. She classifies herself as “sentimental pop”, pairing groovy lyrics with classic synth melodies. moë is not only keeping city pop alive, but reinventing it for a new era of music.
The Toxhards make some of the most eclectic, “ADHD-core” rock music out there. Based in Los Angeles, the band went viral with a video of the band performing their iconic Ængus the Prize Winning Hog at the singer’s sister’s wedding. In the three years since, the band has continued to make humorous music, often with themes of social commentary, like in their 2025 album Your Neighborhood. Right now, the band is on the Get Destructive tour, celebrating one year of Your Neighborhood. Their concerts are known for being hilariously incredible, so go check one out!
ash tuesday is your classic bedroom rock musician, working out of her childhood bedroom in Georgia. She describes her sound as customized, nostalgic, and vaguely familiar. Her debut album, aught!, released in October of 2025, is full of 2000’s guitar riffs, angst, and artful lyrics. For fans of The Front Bottoms, Modern Baseball, Say Anything, Car Seat Headrest, and Elliot Smith, ash tuesday is an incredible artist to explore.

Pip Lewis, class of 2020, made her music throughout her time at LJCDS and continued on past graduation. Lewis is an indie singer-songwriter who produces and performs music across San Diego. Alongside music, she has a passion for rock climbing and traveling, sharing her journey on her social media platform. Her music calls back on the voices and sounds of Sinéad O’Connor and Enya. Her recent album, Growing Pains, marks her return to music after an 18-month hiatus, with more music to come.
